What age do I have to be to hire a caravan?

You must be over 25 to hire from caravanrental.ie 

What type of driving licence do I need?

The driver responsile for towing the caravan must hold a full, valid driving licence. In Ireland that licence class is A category BE. In advance of collection a copy must be email to us. Please be advised wthout this the caravan can not be released for rental and your deposit is non refundable. 

What documents do I need when booking?

When booking a caravan rental in Ireland, you'll need a copy of your driving licence, a recent utility bill for address verification, and proof of motor insurance. Non-Irish renters must also provide a passport or National Identity Card. Additionally, a valid NCT or DOE certificate is required.

What is the minimum rental period for a caravan?

The minimum rental period is usually three nights. However, during peak seasons, longer rental periods may be required.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, a €150 booking deposit is required, which will be deducted from your total rental cost. A €1200 security deposit is due 2 weeks before hire. The deposit is refunded within 3 days after the caravan is returned and inspected, assuming no issues.

What type of vehicle insurance do I need?

You’ll need fully comprehensive insurance, and it's important to check with your insurer to see if your policy covers towing a caravan/trailer. If it doesn’t, you’ll need to add coverage for it when renting.
